Grant Submissions

The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety (KOHS) distributes Law Enforcement and Non-Law Enforcement traffic safety grants with funds provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

  1. Local and State Law Enforcement Agencies
  2. Private Institutions of higher education
  3. Non-Law Enforcement Agencies such as Health Departments and Hospitals
  •   Funds are to be used to help prevent crashes, injuries, fatalities and associated costs by identifying transportation safety issues and developing and implementing effective integrated programs and activities.
  •   Grants reimburse actual costs to grantees that they have incurred and paid during the grant cycle.

The KOHS uses an online application and claim submission system.
